REMINDER: Application Deadline is MONDAY, NOVEMBER 10TH

This is a reminder to those that have yet to apply that the deadline for application submissions to the Salem Christmas Fund is this Monday, November 10th. Applications will be closed after the deadline, so it is important to submit your application as soon as possible. The online application is easy, and generally takes only a couple of minutes to complete. Visit the Apply For Assistance page to get started.

For those that have applied and have yet to provide verification documentation, please do so as soon as possible. The November 10th deadline includes being able to verify application information. As a reminder, what is needed…

  1. Proof of residency. We require documentation that proves your status as a Salem resident. A photo ID (drivers license, passport or other ID that includes your address). If the address on this ID is different than your current residence, please provide additional information (a utility bill, lease agreement, etc).If you have already provided this information, please be sure to read the section below.
  2. Proof of benefits. If you selected any benefits being received as a part of your application (SNAP/Food Stamps, Unemployment, WIC, SSI, etc), please provide documentation as proof of receiving these benefits. A letter, screenshot or similar that contains your name and the benefits will suffice.

Verification documentation can be sent by replying to the application submission confirmation email that you should have received upon application completion, or be sending an email to verification@salemchristmasfund.org.

For those who are missing documentation by tomorrow, you should receive an email to that effect.
